It’s been a busy week; this morning I was not fully awake as I got dressed and I realized that I’d put together a look that included multiple items that weren’t a part of the capsule wardrobe. Oops!
Because I’d wasted time, and was running a little late after hitting the snooze button too many times, I needed to toss something together fast. That’s the benefit of a capsule wardrobe, though, isn’t it? Everything goes with everything else. I snagged a few dark pieces, slid them on, grabbed the first scarf I spotted, and off I went, like a busy little bee on a mission.
I’m so glad the flat shoes are in the capsule, they came in handy as I rushed for the train, trying to avoid a twenty-minute wait for the next one. The every-day bag, living up to its title, offered plenty of space for the little packages waiting for me at the post office. My favorite part of the outfit, though, has to be the scarf. I love how the colors pop out against the uniform, black knits.
There’s something comforting in knowing that I can be in a hurry and still look put-together with such ease and very little time investment.
When I got home, just in time to catch the last of the daylight for pictures for this outfit, and for tomorrow’s look with Willow (preview above), Krull decided it was time for a little attention. He’s too photogenic not to share.
