Ordering clothes online is a bit of a gamble; there’s always a chance that things won’t pan out. About a month ago, I took a chance on this sweater, and ordered it in multiple colors; this time, it worked out, for the most part.
It took a little bit of tailoring to get it “just right”, which is the look I’m showing off today, so I thought I’d show off the advertised image (left), and the un-altered look on yours truly (right):
As you can see, it fits me a bit differently than the model in the online store image, but it’s still quite nice. The neck piece is just a little too long to fold, properly, without it looking bulky and ill-fitting. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but it didn’t miss the mark by too much.
While I’m not much of a seamstress, this was within my limited range, and I love the post-tailored look. I’m lucky; I’ve got this blouse in the black worn here, a vibrant red, a soft cream, and, my personal favorite: dark chocolate.
Not all gambles pay off, though, as you’ll see in an upcoming, cringe-worthy post.
