As you can see, I’ve embraced the gorgeous scarves and warm layers necessary to fend off catching a cold—and might I just say, they look lovely. However, someone at work caught a rather aggressive cold and it spread through the office like wildfire. I’m one of the many victims, and I’m going to spend the next few days getting plenty of fluids and wrapping myself in tissues.
I know this is going to sound crazy, but “Yay!” for the time of year that causes sore throats, sneezing, and coughs. Not that I’m especially happy to be getting sick—the scratchy throat is probably the worst part—but I’m grateful that it might just give me a little bit of time to share some of the pictures I’ve taken over the last few weeks. Plus, I get these yummy lemon lozenges to soothe my throat, and an excuse to have ice cream for dinner – like I said, I’m looking on the bright side.
Updates: Oh my, where to begin?
The Art Gallery where Nomi works hosted a pre-Halloween bash over the weekend and guess who convinced people to let her take their pictures? This gal, right here. That means more pictures for you. I’ll be posting tomorrow, and I’ll be sure to add a link right here, too.
When my secret admirer left that lovely birthstone necklace for me, it sent my girlfriends into a guessing frenzy, they became obsessed with trying to figure out who it was, and a thousand theories were born. Things had started to quiet down when, two weeks ago during my lunch break, a bouquet of red roses was delivered to my desk.
The card accompanying the roses held with a charming note, and a request to get to know one another better with an attached email address. Is it strange that I’ve been mailing back and forth with him? I don’t even have a name just yet, but we’re getting on well even so. I invited him to the Halloween bash, too, and he showed up! Details tomorrow.
Lastly, I may be moving as soon as the end of November. As you know, for the last few months I’ve been renting a single room for quite a while. It’s a nice enough room, but it’s just too small for a long-term arrangement.
I’ve been on the hunt for somewhere new and I might have just struck gold. The condo is on the smaller side with a single bedroom, one and a half bathrooms, a decent-sized kitchen with an island, living room, and a small storage space that could be converted into a little office. It’s ample for Krull and I, and, compared to the single room, it’s a palace. Let’s hope the current owners take my offer, fingers crossed, I’ll have my answer by next Friday.
Anyway, I’m off to curl up with some hot soup and binge some “Stranger Things: Season 2”.
