Thankful

With the winner for my Thanksgiveaway post drawn earlier today, congratulations again Eileen, today I thought I’d mention a few folks from the doll community that I’m thankful for. I know it’s technically December, but is there ever really a bad time to be grateful?

Most of the people from the doll community I’ve met have been positive, welcoming, and warm-hearted. To the rest, well, every barrel has a few bad apples. We outnumber the vocal minority :) Today, I’d just like to say “thank you” to the folks who share this hobby, some of whom share their passion with the rest of us.

First of all, thank you for reading my blog – rambling and nonsensical as it undoubtedly sometimes is. I appreciate the support and, knowing that someone out there likes what I’m doing is encouraging.

Thank you to Betty, who is a real trooper when it comes to repaints for picky people like yours truly. Without her skills, and her willingness to share them with the rest of us, I wouldn’t have Moira at all:

At the moment, Betty and I are both holding our breath, as I’ve sent her some dolls that the post office, despite tracking, may have misplaced. Cross your fingers for us?

Thank you to Nina, who makes amazing doll clothes. She’s made more pieces for me over the last couple of years than I can count, and all of my dolls (and I) adore her bohemian style and fabulous denim:

Bell-bottoms for Barbie ❤️ . To say they’re challenging to come by would be putting it lightly, unless you know a talented seamstress.

Thank you to Michael, who created some beautiful, custom, miniature paintings for me. These have inspired me to create an art studio for Moira:

When Michael told me he’d send me a three-panel “Harlequin Tree” painting for Moira, I honestly didn’t know what to expect. The detail work is incredible. I can’t wait to get her studio up and “her” art on display :)

Thank you to Mihail, who is willing to work with weird measurements, specific colors, and inspiration pictures to create quality doll furniture that won’t shatter the moment it’s dropped (because I’m a dropper ☹):

For whatever it’s worth, no, this post does not contain affiliate links of any kind, this is just a love letter to people who have really helped me bring this blog to life and to those that offer support by stopping in.

Thank you, sincerely 😊
