Custom Barbie Goodies!

Custom Barbie Goodies!

This year, I decided that my presents for the holiday would be doll-oriented because, let’s face it, you get what you pay for and dolls/their accessories are no exception. I don’t mind paying extra and waiting a bit longer for customized pieces; yes, there are limits, but so far things have gone pretty well. While none of these things will be arriving for quite some time, I’m too excited not to share my wonderful finds with you.

First up, I’ve ordered a custom version of this piece:

Beautiful woodwork, but a little too small.

Now, to me, it looks a little bit on the small side, as most standard Barbie furniture tends to be (in my opinion). I ordered a modified version with two panes of windows, two drawers, and an additional shelf on each side for added height. It’s supposed to get here sometime in early February – it’s a custom piece and the poor fellow that makes these things, understandably, is busier over the holidays. I don’t mind waiting for something that will hopefully turn into the centerpiece of Eve’s living-room; who doesn’t want a reading window?

Next up on my list, I ordered a pair of stonewashed jeans and a crochet cap.

Gorgeous denim!

Again, because most of the clothes that are custom and that I like are made for Fashion Royalty, I needed to ask for special alterations to be made on the denim for my gal. She’s not as leggy and not as lithe as the other dolls because she belongs to the “play” line rather than the “collector” line. But a good pair of jeans are a necessity, especially for Barbie.

Lastly, I’ve ordered Eve some more custom, one-of-a-kind, repainted friends. I don’t have their names all worked out just yet, but I’m going to be getting a blonde fashionista Barbie repaint (yet un-named), a redheaded made to move Barbie repaint inspired by “Anne of Avonlea” (one of my favorite series), and I’ve decided that Cole (Eve’s hunky boyfriend) will be a repainted, 12” superman figure (from the “Batman v Superman” line).

Naturally, I’ll be posting things as they arrive, I’m just so excited. I feel like a kid at Christmas (though most of this stuff will arrive well after the day).

Did you order anything doll related for Christmas? If not, and you’re a doll person, you might want to consider it next year ;) As always, thanks for stopping by.
