Mish Mash Meal

Remember when I said we’d be doing a mish mash of foods for our little holiday gathering? Yeah, I wasn’t kidding. We met early (scheduling conflicts, family stuff) and, somehow, we managed to pull it together.

I admit it, it’s a jumble, but it’s our jumble.

Our Thai and Indian were both demolished during the cookie debacle, only the one naan bread survived and made it to today’s table. Cole picked up a cake yesterday from the bakery and we might have eaten half of it by the time the table was fully adorned with goodies.

The turkey was a group effort. Willow scoured Martha Stewart’s website for cooking tips and tricks, Anne watched some YouTube videos, Cole bought the meat thermometer (he loves his gadgets, erg - we have so much crap we never use!), and I stuffed the turkey into a cooking bag and let it do the heavy lifting. As you can see, it worked out.
