Billowy Boho by Eve

Billowy Boho by Eve

I found a gorgeous blouse online that I just loved, but my budget didn’t love the price tag. Emboldened by the nice result I’d gotten with this maxi dress, I decided to go ahead and use the same material to try and replicate the top.

While the sewing is far from perfect—visible seams that aren’t always even—I think the overall look came out pretty nice.

Between you and me, I’m starting to think this fabric is magic, and can make up for anyone’s failures as a seamstress.  It’s also quite close to the expensive blouse I’d been lusting after, though a bit more retro.  I decided to go for billowy, over-sized sleeves—I’m a romantic at heart.

I kept it simple with my favorite heels and a pair of stonewash jeans, with this adorable little bronze and turquoise boho necklace as icing.  It’s an easy, effortless look, just how I like it.  I’ll be wearing this on Friday for date night.

Thanks for stopping in, see you next post :)
