Worth the Wait?

New Barbie Fashionistas are available for pre-order on Amazon, so I feel fairly confident that I’m allowed to share these images here. These will be released May 1st, 2021.

These are the first three I’m most interested in from the six being released.

The blue haired gal actually has purple eyes, and she just looks really cute. I’m not sure about the stars on her face, but a little very carefully applied nail-polish remover would go a long way here.

The lovely, African American doll has a gorgeous face, I really wish Mattel would release skintone information so we knew which made to move body she’d match. Hint hint, Mattel!

The redhead actually looks a little bit like Disney’s Ariel (the little mermaid), I think she’d make a very cute OOAK. Her eyes are literally sparkly:

Here are the next three:

I’m not a huge fan of blonde dolls, I think it’s because I grew up with only blondes at the store (for the most part).  This one seems to have a really big smile on her face, though, and I’m not sure if that’s been used before or not.  If it has, point it out to me, please.

This brunette has a cute face, I love her green eyes, and she’s got Vitiligo.  Unfortunately, as with the other dolls, it’s not detailed which made to move body will match her, so good luck to us all.

This last doll is the Millie facemold blonde and I think Millie is cute, but overused and, like I said before, I’m lukewarm to blonde Barbie because of oversaturation.

Sadly, it looks as though all of these dolls suffer from pixel-face, and these are the promotional images. Oh dear. None of the fashions are for me, but at this price point, I feel like they’re worth it.
