Moira on Pistolstræde

Moira on Pistolstræde

I feel like a lot of my posts lately have strayed away from pictures of dolls and, while yes, I do feel I have the right to share my thoughts, I also want to make sure I'm still sharing my stunning dolls. And it feels like, after making such a fuss about living in a charming city, I need to back that up with proof, and a picture is worth a thousand words 😉

The spare human (feeling better, but still not 100%) was on dog entertaining duty today as I had some errands to run, one of which through sheer coincidence alone (cough, getting off at the 'wrong' metro stop and having to walk to the other, cough) took me past this great area for getting a few lovely shots of Moira. Yes, I chose to take pictures of my doll rather than finding a pastry shop and burying my face in sugar, priorities, right? I popped down Strøget with Moira in my bag and ducked into the little side street that most people walk right past.

I've walked past it for years, right up until I recently had an appointment in the area and felt like I was discovering a little hidden gem. How pretty is this?!

Pretty enough to risk looking like a weirdo, apparently. I'll be honest with you, I did get a few looks from the folks in the café. There's a small courtyard area with both indoor and outdoor seating and me, a grown woman, standing there holding out a doll in front of her phone. You'd think after all these years I'd be immune to it, but nope, still feel really awkward. Worth it, though:

Thanks for stopping in, see you next time.

Oh, PS: If you're ever visiting Copenhagen and want to find this spot, walk down Strøget between Magasin and Illum (I'm a landmark walker, sorry not sorry), it's at Østergade 24, just look for this sign:

There's a courtyard space and an alleyway before you reach the spot I photographed in, but if you go all the way to the end, you'll find it. It's charming, colorful, and very photogenic.
