Doll Haul

Doll Haul

As I mentioned in a post that feels like it was ages ago – since I’ve re-embraced my love of all things playscale (1:6, or in my case with custom furniture more likely 1:5ish), I see things in the world around me quite differently than the non-doll obsessed.

Today’s Doll Haul might just look like a couple of small, stylized tea cups sold as “refills” for a tea set and a series of hair scrunchies…

But in Eve’s world, they become something very different.

Even without being sliced into, the scrunchies become very affordable and stylish scarves. I especially like the way the checkered (or is that houndstooth?) one looks on her.

With a little greenery, the tea cups become large floor pots, for potted plants. Granted, they’ll need something to stick into (like leftover packing material) to hold them in place, but that’s easily done.

Keep your eyes open for goodies, they’re all around you (and they’re generally more affordable than official items sold specifically as Barbie goods).

Happy playscale hunting & I’ll see you next time.
