Beware the Hair

Beware the Hair

I’ve seen it all over the internet, including from friends, taking matters into their own hands where their hair is concerned.  It seems this issue isn’t uncommon in doll land, either.

Today, a fellow doll-enthusiast posted pictures of a Poppy Parker Joyeux Celebration doll, seen here with her original, sublime hairstyle:

She intended to repaint the doll, and wanted to restyle her hair for an overall effect.  When she let this charming Poppy’s hair down, however, this is what waited for her:

Oh 🤬 !

According to the poster, she’s alright with re-rooting, though it’ll take time.

Luckily for me, a layman with no skill or patience for re-rooting, both Ginger and Poppy had normal, full heads of hair. For others sharing my unskilled boat - please note that the same repaint artist stated that Poppy and her counterparts released after 2015 tend to have fully rooted hair.

Please, doll friends, be careful, or you may just end up with a balding-spot mullet doll.
