Covid19 Hits Home

It’s the infamous M, the person behind Jacinda’s character. I’ve tested positive for Covid19. I was hoping 2021 was going to treat me better than 2020 had. Not a good start.

My housemate Dee had to have surgery and, before being sent home, I got tested just in case. Good thing, too! I’ve moved out so that they can convalesce in comfortable surroundings. The worst part was having to notify my sweetheart, who hasn’t been quarantining with me. I’m grateful for the distance, I’d hate to expose anyone else, let alone those I love.

I’m staying in an Air B&B that a friend of mine owns and trying to make the best of a bad situation; I’m trying to be strong for those who are worried about me and I’m clinging to silver linings:

I have family and friends who love and support me, a constant comfort.
I have a place I can stay that has a beautiful view of sloping hills and a decent wifi connection.
My hastily-packed essentials box has plenty of distractions, including Jacinda. I love taking pictures of her:

Lastly, I’m grateful that I appear to be asymptomatic. I have a slight cough that’s been there for months (not new), I have no fever, no headache, no muscle aches or cramps that I don’t bring on myself without exercise, and my O2 levels are excellent. I hope it stays that way.

Not everyone is as fortunate as I am. I hope you can count yourself among those that are.

I’ll keep you posted.
